Your gateway to the digital economy: practical and future-proof
The Master’s in Business Informatics at Worms University of Applied Sciences prepares you for careers centred on the digitalisation of businesses. You will build on your Bachelor’s degree and deepen your knowledge at the interface between IT and business administration.
You will broaden your knowledge of information and knowledge management, as well as information systems and digitalisation. In addition, you will develop skills in people management and project management, which will prepare you for leadership roles.
The Master’s thesis in the fourth semester gives you the opportunity to take on responsibility and gain practical experience.
After graduation, you may, for example, take on managerial roles in IT or specialist departments, lead digitalisation projects or advise companies on digital transformation.
Course content
The Master’s in Business Informatics lasts four semesters.
In the first semester, you’ll lay the technical foundations. You’ll study software project management, process management and digital innovation management.
In the second semester, you will deepen your methodological and subject-specific knowledge. You will study leadership and information management, undertake academic work in a seminar and continue to develop your chosen specialisation: Business Information Technology, Digital Business Management or Finance and Controlling.
In the third semester, you will apply your knowledge in practice. You will study software architecture for digitalisation and undertake a Master’s project: a smaller, practice-oriented task that can also serve as a preliminary project for your Master’s thesis.
In the fourth semester, you will complete your degree with your Master’s thesis. You will usually carry this out in collaboration with a company.
