Inter-library loan
Through the inter-library loan service, you can order books and journal articles from other libraries in Germany if they are not available at the Worms University Library.
You cannot request the following items through interlibrary loan:
- Items that are available at the Worms University Library but are currently checked out
- Reference materials
- Loose-leaf publications
- Unbound journal issues
However, we cannot guarantee delivery.
Requests for theses or dissertations are usually unsuccessful.
Fees
A flat fee applies to each request. This fee is charged even if the request is unsuccessful.
Therefore, please check the university library’s online catalog before placing your order to see if the book or journal is already available.

Delivery Times
- Books: approximately 7 to 14 days
- Journal articles: approximately 2 to 3 days
We do not send journal articles via email. You can pick up the printouts at the circulation desk. You will receive an email as soon as they are ready for collection.
