Overall, I was impressed by the degree programme - especially the close supervision, the international focus including a semester abroad and the practical teaching supported by projects, excursions and guest lectures. If you are interested in international business studies and value applied learning, you are in good hands here.

As a student on the Business Informatics programme at Worms University of Applied Sciences, I have gained very varied and practical experience so far. I particularly appreciate the combination of business and technical expertise that is taught here. The lectures are structured and many lecturers bring in their own business experience, which makes the subject matter more tangible. The university also offers modern laboratories and good IT equipment. The dual study model and close contacts with companies also open up many career prospects. Overall, I feel well prepared here for the demands of the digital world of work.

The HS Worms and the Taxation degree programme are demanding, but fun and well equipped and prepared. Some professors are difficult, but the rest are great. I'm doing 100% of my Master's here too. The fellow students motivate you and you can make good friends. I learnt a lot through the university and was able to see that a degree course at special universities cannot be practical. The student councils also mean that parties and drinks evenings are a given. I myself am a member of the tax student council and help plan the parties and the student days.

Practical relevance in my degree programme

I'm studying Retail and Sales Management in Worms and am very happy with my degree programme overall. I particularly like the strong practical relevance, as both a semester abroad and a compulsory internship semester are part of the degree programme. This allows you to gain a lot of valuable experience. I also find the personal contact with the lecturers very positive - as it is a university, the exchange is much more direct than at a university. I find the degree programme challenging, but definitely doable.

A practical and exciting degree programme

I am currently studying Aviation Management and Piloting and am very happy with my decision. The combination of business knowledge and practical pilot training makes the programme very varied and exciting. I particularly like the fact that we get an early insight into the aviation industry and work very closely with reality through simulator training and practical exercises. Of course, the degree programme is demanding, but that's exactly what motivates me to do my best. I'm looking forward to the coming semesters and am grateful for this opportunity.

Super nice lecturers, very interesting topics, cool facilities and rooms. Free parking spaces. Exams are also easy to pass if you study. Cool library with online access via VPN and a very good canteen. The soup often has a little too much salt. Unfortunately, the semester fees have risen from 143 euros to 300+ euros as a semester ticket for the DB has been added.

I can recommend it

[...] The teachers are generally very competent and know what they're doing, but of course you might not get on so well with one or two of the professors. Tutorials are offered for certain subjects. Otherwise, there are lots of workshops and events organised by the university and the student councils, where you can network a lot. What I find very good is that if you need help and write to someone, you usually get an answer, for example by email, on the same day and don't have to wait two weeks. I can say that about the university staff, but it's a bit different for the Porfs....

Love it: Best decision

My degree programme in Aviation Management at Worms University of Applied Sciences is definitely one of the best decisions I have made so far. The combination of business fundamentals and industry-specific knowledge about the aviation industry makes the programme not only exciting, but also incredibly relevant for practice. I am impressed by how versatile and well-structured the degree programme is. From the very first semester, you realise that the university attaches great importance to quality. The lecturers not only bring in-depth theoretical knowledge, but often also years of experience from the aviation industry. Many of them have worked for airlines, airports or aviation companies themselves and can therefore provide valuable insights that you won't find in any textbook. This ensures that the teaching is practical and lively. I particularly like the many case studies and group work in which we analyse real challenges from the industry and develop solutions....

"Entrepreneurship" at the HS Worms offers a practice-orientated and strategic education for prospective founders and innovators. It combines theoretical foundations with real-life case studies, business plan development and creative problem solving. Particularly valuable is the exchange with experts from the field and the work in interdisciplinary teams that promote innovative ways of thinking. The university also emphasises the teaching of entrepreneurial soft skills such as leadership and networking, which optimally prepares students for start-up or management tasks.

Studying in Worms: practical and personal

I really like the atmosphere in the lectures, as there aren't too many of us, everyone always has enough space, it's almost like being in a school class. The professors, most of whom have practical experience, respond to questions and explain things very clearly, it's interactive and you want to listen and not just hang around on your iPad or chat. The repetition and exercises in the lessons make the course challenging but understandable and even fun. The projector is actually always used to display the script for the course, occasionally something is written on the blackboard, and some lectures are also held in hybrid form (online and in presence) or completely online. The individual modules are subdivided again, which creates a wide range. I really have to say that I really like the somewhat smaller university and the exams are definitely too much.

Do you want a degree programme that suits you? Practical, personal and with real added value? Then Worms University of Applied Sciences is the right place for you.
